My why…
The other day I found a picture of my son when he was 2. In the picture he was sitting by a window, biting his lip and I realized…
I had forgotten.
I had forgotten he used to do that, all the time. Back then I used to think it was cute, how could I forget? He is now 5 and I’m constantly thinking and trying to force myself to remember things…his cheeky smile when he does something sneaky, the dimples on his cheeks that are slowly disappearing, I want to remember it all.
He is the reason I became a photographer; before him it was just a hobby. (I know in another life I would have been a wildlife photographer, but that’s a story for another time!). I knew I wanted to capture as much as I could and I knew other moms feel the same way. I never liked posed pictures, smiling for the camera was not for me, it never felt “real”.
So here I am. I want you to think of sessions with me as if you had a friend taking your pictures, so you can be comfortable and enjoy the moment. As part of the booking process, I’ll send a short questionnaire to get to know you and your little ones better, focusing on the small details you’ll want to remember 20 years from now. We’ll chat over the phone too, so when we finally meet, it won’t feel like the first time. Once we meet in person, we’ll catch up, we’ll laugh, we’ll play—and you’ll have photos that feel like you.
Let’s plan a session that feels like you.
